All about the new ASC on Non-Plus :awesome:. Think that came out this week. Porcelain is one of the best tunes I've heard this year.

No doubt, definitely a sick release.
And let me say, 2009 was a slammin year for DnB, better than 2008 and 07. Anyone else?

I think the beginning of 2009 was a little slow. But I've been really excited/hungry for the stuff that's been coming out lately. Definitely good to see some of my favorite producers step back from the dubstep thing (not saying there's anything wrong with dub - that's another conversation) and make some goddam Drum n Bass! I'm really looking forward to 2010.

2009 was a really good year for Jump Up and you know that I don't have a problem w/ jump up. Unfortunately, 2009 is also the year when I started getting a little tired of jump up. For most of the middle of this year, I was having a pretty hard time finding tracks that I wanted to play.

Thought 2009 was the best year for drum and bass in a long time. I bought more tunes this year than any year in the past 4-5. There are tons of new producers crawling out of the woodwork and a lot of them are taking chances again. It's no longer formulaic and a lot of the music is exciting again. It's as if dubstep scared dnb into stepping its game up.

This thread is a welcome change of pace from all the DNB is dead threads I saw this year. I agree this year was better than last for sure. Original Sin, Tantrum Desire, DJ Wire, Cabbie, and many more made this year great. A lot of people doing big things on smaller labels too. Seems the fresh blood has done DnB some good. Looking forward to 2010!

Do you mean the artist or a multitude of great releases providing a profusion of varying sub-genres/sounds thus expanding idiom of Drum n' Bass to new heights on all facets of the given spectra?

:lmao: thats awesome! and i would like to see high contrast work more with various other producers and break out of the spectrum of liquid dnb....all his tracks have a very soulful feel to them i could imagine he could take that soul and bring it to original sin and make something EPIC

I definitely respect High Contrast even though I'm not a huge fan of liquid. I would also like him to break out of that sound - then I could play his tracks more often.

Just checked out some of these tracks! Topcat's sound has not changed much but it is still rockin. The new Jade is worthy, and I listened to several of those Icicle tracks, there is something mad addicting about the sound of the drums that he uses... quality. SPL was a little too dark sounding but good for its style... :)
