Headache is caused by thinking about dying of bread-borne illnesses too much. As I said before, whack a slice on the counter and go from there. If it's still soft and floppy, nom away. If it's hard or makes a noise other than a soft slap on the counter, chuck it.

My suspicions ruined peanut butter jelly time.

I don't want to check for a date on the bread INSTEAD I want you all to decide...

There is no visible mold and it's not as soft as before. Most importantly- it kinda tastes like soap. My stomach and head feel odd but not uncomfortable.

SHOULD I KEEP EATING???

Is your bread placed near a Glade plug in?

I had soap tasting bread for a long time and my family wouldn't believe me and we finally discovered it was the Glade plug-in saturating it in flavor of death.

i disagree with neon. if the bread makes a loud noise and smacks when you hit it on the counter instead of flops you can always toast the bread instead of throwing it away. once you toast it then you can probably wash the soap off, then toast once again to get the water flops out.
