I wanna start a new thread so that those interested don't have to sift through 4 pages of shit talking and speculation.

The product is only in its "first stage" is what I am reading... where they will take it from here, who knows>? :mullet:

After reading up this is about all that sounds interesting to me:

Activating the "Ableton View" in Scratch Live or ITCH opens a representation of Ableton Live's Session View, where you can launch clips and scenes, control instruments and devices, mix, mute and solo - all from within your ITCH or Scratch Live user interface.

plus

If you're using an Akai Professional APC40 (http://www.ableton.com/apc40), APC20 (http://www.ableton.com/apc20), or Novation Launchpad (http://www.ableton.com/launchpad), the grid in the Ableton View resizes to match your controller grid. Scratch Live (http://www.serato.com/scratchlive) and ITCH (http://www.serato.com/itch) hardware control Ableton Live as if it were a regular audio file.

The mixes I am currently working on are centered around two turntables and ableton working together... this seems to fit the bill quite nicely, I am impressed with the way they incorporated my APC40 into the works.

Considering that A) I already have serato on my machine, B) I have Live on my machine and C) its fucking free

I'll give it a go :teefthumbs:
