Mikael Stavöstrand

He has been lauded as a key figure of the Swedish electronic music scene for his unique interpretations of minimal club techno as well as for producing some of the most essential experimental electronic music of the past years. Stavöstrand mixes deconstructed sounds with funky little beats to create minimal dance textures. On his debut album on Force Inc., "Reduce", swarms of glitches, crackles and skips infiltrate the 4/4 drive formula of minimal techno. As Vita, his "Vita" 12" on Force Inc. imprint Force Labs was welcomed by critical praise and became one of the best selling releases with its digitalized organic groove.

'ard house and twance wont get anymore attention around this forum either. unless you were referring to denver in general. but even for denver, the techno headliners still do well, especially at Beta. they just dont get booked for massives (thank god)

to me its suprising how little support any music gets in general on this forum. there is a solid core of people that support shows and mixes and give feedback on tracks and stuff but in relation to the number of people on the board its a little depressing how unsupportive the majority of the forum is. take a look at the audio forum. a good few threads go without any or only 1 reply. there have been 155 threads and less than 1000 total posts. thats like an average of 7 posts or so per thread. 164 of them are in the "what are you listening to" thread. just a little suprised since this forum is built around a community of people in the scene and into the music.

Man. What can I say, that was an amazing night. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it what it was. Good to meet all the new faces from the board that I did, and I'm glad everyone really enjoyed themselves. I can say that I definitely did, and Mikael couldn't say enough good things about the event and more importantly how great everyone in Colorado is. So, I mean, hey, good work everyone, good work partying so well.

Rachel deserves special thanks for creating such an inviting environment for us to play music in. Definitely helped make the whole thing amazing.
