Saw this on a mailing list... can you give a quick synopsis of what it is? It looks like some kind of video plug in for Live?

surprised you haven't been following its development.
It basically turns live into reaktor in terms of routing capabilities and being able to build plugins from scratch and create entirely different ways of manipulating sound through midi. this is huge.......way huge.....

honestly, I'm way too busy with school and work..... music takes a back seat when school is in. Sounds huge. Easy to figure out?

no, if you know how to program in MSP it is. For those that don't plan on trying to learn...the community that will spring up around this sharing custom patches will be more than enough to warrant getting it for Live. What this does for the live manipulation of sound with a computer though, is really a big deal........i've been waiting for this forever.

I dont know much about msp max but when I did play with it, it was pretty nuts. I'll be excited to see what happens and what comes out of this. I know the ableton guys are very excited about it
pretty excited for this. Also looking forward to the LiveČ aka ableton + serato.

Still no price?

Well reaktor was built on max/msp, unless i am mistaken....and even if you get max for live Jitter is a separate purchase.
300 for MFL
100 if you already own a license

$300 is a big chunk of change, esp when I still have to upgrade from Live7. I think I'll wait for Live9, unless I reallllly need Max (which I don't since I have SM).

yeah it is a bit pricey, but i've been screwing around with the open beta and its giving me an idea of what Max is really capable of. It really has already begun to exceed my expectations, and having it in live is a great platform to learn how to program. It is worth it, just need 300 dollars first.
