We're fund raising for the Communikey Festival, the cost of getting 2 high profile artists from Berlin is so expensive that even a packed room of support at a reasonable ticket price still does not cover their expenses such that we have supplemental funding from grant resources and I am looking for someone that will do it for the love and not money. If you think it's a shit deal you don't have to participate. I am just looking for some gear to borrow. If you don't want to loan your gear that is ok, but please don't get on this thread where I am looking for something and dog on my requests.

but what happens if something happens to the equipment thats pretty much a deal breaker with many people if there is no assurance they will be reimbursed then it may be hard to find someone to donate...

now im all for love but if someone worked their ass off to get the equipment and it breaks and all they get is guestlist spots they may be a little ticked IMO

Communikey is a nonprofit comprised of dj's, musicians, promoters, and multimedia artists...

who don't have a pair of CDJ1000's for their own show?

anyway. i have respect for what you guys do and most of your djs, but regardless of who is throwing what show for what reason, offering a + 1 for $2k worth of equipment is kinda disrespectful, especially when artists are being flown in from overseas. $50 cant be that hard to come by, or at least free beverages.
