politicos/activist forum?

i could see that, but it was at least a concentrated subforum where those who wished to talk/argue about the political scene could, easily dismissed by those who did not wish to engage...

Yea, a sub forum is a cool idea.. that way it's kinda hidden, but ppl could still find it if they wanted to.

I thought that the activist arena was kind of specifically *for* banishing political talk from the general discussion...

I'd love to see one here too! Yesterday they had a "troll Forum" or something... pretty sure that was supposed to be Activists Arena... now it is gone. So... yeah. :(

troll forum is where people who get time-outs and dunce hats and stuff will hang out...

as for the politico forum; may i suggest looking into the communities>social groups tools in the board if you guys want that... i think we're leaning toward leaving the number of forum 'buckets' thin and trying to explore some other features, but there's obviously some way to go with getting organized, and we can still mold and shape things if the demand is really there...

I think activists arena and troll forum are synonyms.

But yeah, I think a political subforum is a good idea.

an even easier way to do that would be to start deleting said threads. we could call it planned threadhood, for example.

I think activists and troll forums are not synonyms.
I think they are actually active discussions between persons that disagree with one and another and is actually helpful in progressing our society.
The fact that there is no one disagreeing with others just makes the whole entire situation seem just a bit too complacent. Too vanilla. Who wants that?
Lets challenge one and another, lets throw some slurs around, lets actually say what we mean to say.

I personally would love to see a politics/activist type sub-forum. I don't come here for discussions of that nature so it is purely selfish, but there you go.
