After a long time away from the decks and a lot of things going on in my life, I have finally gotten back into mixing tracks. I'm just trying to knock the rust and the dust off now and get the transitions and mixes polished back to a glossy shean. It sounds much easier than it is in practice. I have, however, very much enjoyed the remixes of familiar tracks and classic hit songs I grew up with. With that, here is a link to a practice session I recorded. If anyone has suggestions, pointers, or ideas, please let me know. I value feedback, but that does not mean I want to hear some one talk trash and be a jerk. These two posts are going to be dedicated to Danger, one of the most talented producers in electro. Way back during one of his last single releases he was featured in a music video contest. Most of the videos were made using crazy 80's movies as backdrops. This one utilizes D.A.R.Y.L., a campy boy-robot flick.

These guys have some crazy synths in their catalogue, so much so that they caught the eye of the community and Jusctice, who produced this track.

N.A.S.A. gets major credit for referencing humanities greatest organization in their name, but they also stand on their own as talented producers who can catch the eye of music superstars. People like Kanye don't get a lot of respect in underground music circles for the antics they partake in but I don't really care, the guy at least kind of likes Daft Punk and King Crimson. Anyways, N.A.S.A took all the money and star power that flowed into this track and created a great music video.

Taking the dream sequence in nightmare form and attributing it to motion sickness or some similar state of mind is A+ material.

I was playing the game Lumines on my phone back in the day and got hooked on this song. When I got kind of obsessed with it I had my mind blown when I realized I owned one of MG's earlier albums. His earlier stuff was very diva infused so I wasn't too into him but you can see the shift in his music that led to the change in stage name to Shinichi Osawa.
